Bose-Einstein Condensate explaining a new state of matter...

Hey all :) back with another interesting fact that i came across... I ended up reading about this fact when i wrote the Secret about Einstein's brain...

And whats so interesting that I started digging and came up with this post?

Watch this self-explanatory video..

Yeah we cant stand another Financial Crisis / IT down fall :) So thought of reading something about this, which might give a fair idea of PLAN B in case of any crisis and failure of a PLAN A ;)

The above video made me curious to read more about this and the interesting fact behind this is the new state of matter mentioned by the Physicist, Mr. Sathyendra Nath Bose. He is an Indian physicist and mathematician, who provided this theory in 1920. Below video answers the open question left by the first one :)

I'm really not good at Physics and hence thought of not trying to explain this condensate and confuse everyone :) The video below shows an excellent explanation of the Bose-Einstein Condensate

Its amazing how he wrote this theory in 1920 without any means to test the behavior of atoms in absolute zero. I know you are puzzled with the PLAN A & PLAN B that i mentioned above. Its nothing great or any secret. PLAN A is something which is happening now and PLAN B is the backup to replace PLAN A, when it fails :) Both the scenarios are explained by Michio in the video below. How is BEC going to help the world in the future?

Looks like Bose has already proposed a solution or at least base for finding the solution for a potential problem that the world will face in the next century...

Uni-wheel parking- Not even German Cars have it...

We would love this if we are living in any of the bigger cities in USA... even in the whole world... Major Car makers should see this and think about the feasibility of using this...

256 is bigger than I thought...

I never thought the number 256 will look so big to me considering the numbers that are currently being discussed...  like the $1.3 trillion spent on OBL or LinkedIn's $8.9 billion value with 109% growth in share value on IPO. (its really tough to manipulate the zeros in trillions or billions. Thank god we have the word representations for these figures :) )

Li Ching-Yuen

So, what made me think that 256 is bigger than any of these numbers? its the unit that I didn't mention till now... the number we are talking about is years, its 256 YEARS! I completely accept that 256 years is a long period of time for anything in this world.

Things can change upside down in 256 years... As per the news release in Time magazine(1933), Li Ching-Yuen from province of Szechwan in China, kept himself alive for 256 years. OMG he was 256 years old when he died !!! Yeah he said these are the secrets of his long life:

Kurmasana - sitting like a tortoise

sitting like a tortoise (is this kurmasana?)

sleeping like a dog

walking sprightly like a pigeon

keeping a quiet heart

He often traveled to Shansi, Tibet, Kansu and Manchuria to get herbs and he consumed mainly rice wine...

really? sleeping with the hands
& legs crossed makes me live longer!!!
obviously NO... he he its the not the
posture, but the dogs' sleeping habits

In this course of time he lived with 23 wives and had more than 180 descendants. If he were in Africa he would have been the role model of many men as the worth of a man is measured by the number of wives and children one had.

Li admitted that he was born in the year 1736 which would make him only 197 years contrary to the supposed 256 years. C'mon Li, you forgot your own age huh? ha ha... It is a professor at the Minuko University who proved Li was born in the year 1677. He was able to prove this by producing records that show that the Chinese government honored him on his 200th birthday.

Looking at it from a medical perspective, it seems impossible for one to be able to live for that long. The age of Li has surpassed the official record by more than 130 years. It is claimed that he looked like a sixty year old.

His age surpasses the official record by over 130 years and he only appeared to be 60 years old... Oh! one more gift you got Li... The only reasonable conclusion would be that he either had a superhuman body or all this stories are mere exaggerations. Problem is we may never know the complete truth. This may all sound too fantastical to be true, but sometimes what sounds too good to be true, is actually true :)

Secret of Albert Einstein's Brain

Albert Einstein is the father of modern physics. This German born physicist gave birth to many new theories in Physics. Also won Nobel Price for Physics in 1921.

Eminent works of Albert Einstein:

   General relativity and special relativity

   Photoelectric effect

   Mass-energy equivalence

   Quantification of the Brownian motion

   Einstein field equations

   Bose–Einstein statistics

   Unified Field Theory

Albert Einstein has published more than 300 scientific papers.... bla bla bla... I know if I go in this fashion this post will look like a shrunk version of Einstein's Wiki. Lets get to the point... the interesting fact...

This is a funny pic isn't it? But a costly one... yeah it was sold for $74000, (really ??? yes) because its a famous photo of the man of the century. The photo was taken in 1951, and Einstein liked it so much that he ordered 9 copies of it. David Waxman owns this one, but the locations of the other eight (including photographer Arthur Sasse's) are unknown. And again this is not the interesting fact...

How was Einstein able to think more than a normal human? This was an un-answered question for many years. And in the recent times they discovered the secrets that were hidden in his brain. Thomas Stoltz Harvey, pathologist who preserved the brain of Albert Einstein and few other doctors/professors found out that certain parts of Einstein's brain has higher proportion of glial cells than the average male.

And as always the best is saved for the last :) the video, which made me write this post.

Anandhibai Joshi (1865-1886) - First Hindu Woman Doctor of India

This is an interesting fact that I came across through my wife... Anandhibai Joshi is the first hindu woman doctor of India, born at Pune. She got married at the age of 9 and gave birth to a baby boy when she was 14 yrs old. It is truly inspiring to see how she aspired to become a doctor. She graduated in 1886. Yes, this happened a century ago. She graduated at the age of 21 and unfortunately passed away the next year after returning to India. Even though she lived for a short period of time, her fame is still living and its immortal.

I saved the best for the last... the most interesting one I found is the letter to Alfred Jones, dated June 28th 1883, written by Anandhibai Joshi.
