I never thought the number 256 will look so big to me considering the numbers that are currently being discussed... like the $1.3 trillion spent on OBL or LinkedIn's $8.9 billion value with 109% growth in share value on IPO. (its really tough to manipulate the zeros in trillions or billions. Thank god we have the word representations for these figures :) )
In this course of time he lived with 23 wives and had more than 180 descendants. If he were in Africa he would have been the role model of many men as the worth of a man is measured by the number of wives and children one had.

So, what made me think that 256 is bigger than any of these numbers? its the unit that I didn't mention till now... the number we are talking about is years, its 256 YEARS! I completely accept that 256 years is a long period of time for anything in this world.
Things can change upside down in 256 years... As per the news release in Time magazine(1933), Li Ching-Yuen from province of Szechwan in China, kept himself alive for 256 years. OMG he was 256 years old when he died !!! Yeah he said these are the secrets of his long life:

Li admitted that he was born in the year 1736 which would make him only 197 years contrary to the supposed 256 years. C'mon Li, you forgot your own age huh? ha ha... It is a professor at the Minuko University who proved Li was born in the year 1677. He was able to prove this by producing records that show that the Chinese government honored him on his 200th birthday.
Looking at it from a medical perspective, it seems impossible for one to be able to live for that long. The age of Li has surpassed the official record by more than 130 years. It is claimed that he looked like a sixty year old.
His age surpasses the official record by over 130 years and he only appeared to be 60 years old... Oh! one more gift you got Li... The only reasonable conclusion would be that he either had a superhuman body or all this stories are mere exaggerations. Problem is we may never know the complete truth.This may all sound too fantastical to be true, but sometimes what sounds too good to be true, is actually true :)
